As a leading name in industrial vintage furniture, we’re excited to say that our finds appear on the set of the hit (Golden Globe nominated) show New Girl. In an interview featured on the entertainment site BuzzSugar, New Girl creator Liz Meriwether says the Downtown LA apartment is meant to look industrial. According to the article, Meriwether said that there was a distinct idea for the apartment. “We just wanted the feeling of a space that once was a factory and now is a loft,” she said. Welcome Cesar Jurado
Rehab is excited to announce the addition of Ceasar Jurado to our team. As our new production manager, Cesar is already streamlining our work processes and helping us to keep up with the demand as we grow. Cesar moved to L.A. a year ago from Venezuela. An ingenious engineer by trade (actually electrical), Cesar–like all of us here–was been bitten by the bug at an early age. He’s been restoring and fixing things ever since he was little. Call it a labor of love. We’re happy to have him on our team!

An American leader in times gone by, General Fireproofing Company (GF) led by innovating and constantly keeping up with changes.

General Fireproofing Company (GF) opened in 1902 as a manufacturer of fireproof building products. Just five years later, when the Panic of 1907, brought all building to a halt, the company changed focus to office furniture. With the introduction of the first production four-drawer steel vertical file, the company had become a leader in the metal office furniture industry. Throughout its long history, GF innovated and accomplished a number of firsts in office furniture, including this painted wood finish (pictured below). The company discontinued most of its product lines by the 1970′s and declared bankruptcy in 1989, leaving behind this beautiful Ohio building (above) and these relics from the 20′s (below). Oh, what the professionals who worked on these must of gone through.
